Sasquatch Line Up Results in Creamed Panties

sasquatch.jpg

Last year's Sasquatch line up was good, but not good enough to get us to spend three days at the Gorge. We still prefer the festival in its one-day, all-in-one-fell-swoop form, but with the lineup that's been announced for this year's two-day fest, we may just have to make the trip. Out of the two days, it was Saturday that really made us coo. Bjork *and* Arcade Fire? Consider us sold. There are still bands to be announced, but here's how things stand as of right now:

Saturday, May 26th:
Bjork, The Arcade Fire, Manu Chao Radio Bemba Sound System, M.I.A., Citizen Cope, Neko Case, The Hold Steady, Grizzly Bear, Ghostland Observatory, Electrelane, Two Gallants, The Slip, Loney, Dear, Aqueduct, The Thermals, Viva Voce, The Blow, Gabriel Teodros

Sunday, May 27th:
Beastie Boys, Interpol, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Spoon, Bad Brains, Ozomatli, Dandy Warhols, The Black Angels, Mirah, Tokyo Police Club, Money Mark, St. Vincent, Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter, Smoosh, Common Market, Helio Sequence, Minus The Bear

Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster March 3rd at 10am. Opening weekend it's $56 per day, and after that the price goes up to $66 a day. Two-day Solid Gold Supertickets with the ultra-VIP treatment are $500 a pair. And of course, filthy dirty hippie camping packages are also available.

They had me at Bjork. But then: Manu Chao, MIA, Neko Case, The Beastie Boys, Spoon, Michael Franti, Ozomatli. Holy shit my head just exploded. I swore never to return to the goddamned Gorge ever again, but you're right, this is entirely worth it.
