If &quot;Media&quot; includes the printed word then it sounds like an interesting experiment (let&apos;s hear it for sensory deprivation).
If the only things cut out of the day are visual or aural based what does that prove? 
Humankind is and always has been a visually and aurally driven entity (notwithstanding Gutenberg and all that).  If the newest wave of the ongoing Electronic Age happens to be &quot;less reading and more seeing and hearing&quot; then So What?
I say, for the money it costs for a class at SU they could at least throw in a few hours in a sensory deprivation tank.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
