Zac Culler's Beast of Burden at OKOK

ART: OKOK's move to Ballard has been good for them. The new space puts more focus on the art, separating it a bit from the (still great) retail. Free Parking, a new group drawing exhibit, opens today with works from ten artists.

6-10pm // OKOK Gallery, 5107 Ballard Ave NW // FREE

COMICS: Do anything well for 25 years and you acquire almost mythic status, regardless of area. Love and Rockets has been doing the alternative comics thing since 1982, kick-starting that movement and cementing Fantagraphics' importance in the field. They're celebrating with an exhibition of original artwork from the series (around until March 7).

5-8pm (Opening Reception) // Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery, 1201 S. Vale St. (at Airport Way) // FREE

MUSIC: We have to admit we're pretty skeptical of bands that play live house music (isn't it just disco at that point?). That said, Los Amigos Invisibles have had production help from the legendary Louie Vega and if he says they're cheese-free, who are we to argue?

9pm-2am // Neumos, 925 E Pike St // $15

PARTY: The McLeods are throwing a Red Dress Party. Wanna go? Find yourself a red dress, gender be damned. Everything the McLeods do is fun, so if you've been waiting to see what the big deal is, here's a fabulous chance to get all dressed up and check the cult place out.

9:30pm-??? // McLeod Residence, 2209 2nd Ave // $15
