Overheard at Alpental this Weekend

Insolent young snow boarder punk #1: "Why are they always blasting reggae here?"

Impudent underage snow border shit #2: "Bob Marley was an avid skier! How could you not know that!?"

Ha ha, "snow boarders..." You scofflaw jokesters, you.

Reggae really does suck ass though and it has no place being broadcast on the slopes, assaulting us with its suckiness. Let's start a petition.

Otherwise, Alpental was great this weekend. In the distant past, some of us have written off Alpental as too icy, narrow and boring, but we discovered on Saturday that if you venture a little ways to the north side, there are infinitely better conditions and terrain variations to be had. Easily the best six hours we've had up in the mountains in a long time. Even the collisions with the inept skier shit heads were acceptable for once, such that we will hold off on our petition to ban skiers from the slopes... for now.

    Reggae on the mountain rules!

Lest you forget the holy trinity of mountain sports. Snowboarding, fine ganja and heady music, one of the best of which being, infact, reggae. And you call yourself a snowboarder...
