>>> Jacob London at Baltic Room. Jacob London is known most widely for their house music releases (they've put out material on the legendary Classic Music Company label), but tonight they'll be exploring their more techno-oriented output with a live set. We don't know if that makes it more or less likely that they'll bring their microphone monkey, but expect quality music with a lot of quirky turns.
10:00 pm // $6 // 21+
>>> Keane at the Paramount. The first time we saw these sensitive UK boys live, the drummer kept nearly kicking himself in the head. Neat!

8:00 pm // $30 (plus on-your-knees-fees)
Thursday, February 1
>>> Deerhoof at Neumo's. Some have dismissed Deerhoof as bland or simply weird. Others praise the complex composition of their songs. We just think they're good.

8:00 pm // $12adv // All ages, bar w/ ID.
Friday, February 2
>>> The Trucks at Jules Maes Saloon. You’ll like Bellingham’s femme foursome because they’re cheeky, kinda scary, and make the xylophone sexy. KEXP likes them, and we bet the SXSW crowd will, too. But we liked them first.
*mp3: Titties
9:00pm // $5 // Not 21? Catch ‘em at Easy Street (Queen Anne) at six.
>>> Menomena at The Crocodile. Cool, nerdy indie rock from Portland, infectious grooves, and all.

9:00 pm // $10
Saturday, February 3
>>> The Roots at The Showbox. The Roots didn't become legendary because of their albums. That's not to say that they haven't put out some good albums (Seattlest considers Things Fall Apart to be great), but we've heard for years that live is where the collective has always shone, and now they're bringing that to Seattle.
8:00pm doors (early show) & 11pm doors (late show) // $32.50 // 21+, Early Show SOLD OUT.
Photo of The Trucks snagged from their website.

Tuesdays are Muppet Days
