You Don't Have To Wear Skinny Jeans

When you sign up for enough lists your inbox tends to get clogged up with a lot of useless and unwanted press releases, but every once in a while you'll find a nugget of gold glittering in the mud. Today we received a release with the subject line, "FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - High-waisted, wide-leg - You don't have to wear skinny jeans."

January 25, 2007 (SEATTLE, WA) - - Although the skinny jean looks great on many different body types, the reality is that not everyone wants to wear it. At La Rousse this spring, this Belltown boutique is staying one step ahead of the fashion trends by offering many wide-leg trouser options; some are high-waisted.

While we personally think this is bullshit and that everyone, particularly in Seattle, wants to look skinny and cool, well, we've been known to miss before. So, are we prepared for low-rises to be out?
