It's the end of Week 1 of Canada's trial of the century and so far absolutely nothing has happened. The jurors have been watching a long interrogation of Pickton from way back when they thought he had killed a couple of women but didn't have evidence that said he killed a lot of women.
The Vancouver Sun has clips from the interrogation:
Pickton told Adam there were others involved in the killings, but then insisted he was the "head honcho." He would not elaborate on either point, prompting Adam to complain: "You're having fun playing cat and mouse with me here, Willie."Adam asked Pickton, "When did you get her [Wilson] out there?" and tried to guess the date of her disappearance. Pickton just toyed with the seasoned interrogator, telling Adam he was "close."
Then in response to a question from Adam, Pickton said Wilson was still alive when he used a dildo attached to a .22 handgun on her -- but he adamantly denied killing her. (The dildo and gun were found in Pickton's trailer, bearing his and her DNA.)
If this were a Seattle Times story would they include the word "dildo" or would they blush and pretend that one wasn't found at the scene taped to a gun?
The site Orato has a few citizen correspondents posting their reactions to the trial, but so far their reports have been kinda slow.

Hi: I just wanted to let you know that the citizen correspondents for Orato.com were hired to write not only about the trial, but how our lives related to the women whose lives were taken at the Pig farm. This is my first time doing something like this, but I am up for the challenge. We try to get as many stories as we'd like out, however, because of the ban order our stories go through our editor, Paul Sullivan and then a lawyer as do other media personnel. I am writing for Orato.com because I have lived the life of the victims. I have seen both sides of the fence. I have turned my life around 180. My fist story states something about judging a book by its cover... It's too bad that those who judge us don't read all our stories. Sure, I stated that I was angry in one of my articles, so were alot of people. We are supposed to write about how we feel during this trial since we can relate. Yes, we did know some of the girls who were killed. I just thought I'd bring this to your attention. Thank you for your time and understanding.
