Giada & Pietro Rabbit

Blizzard of food notes. First, tonight at 9 PM on Food Network, with three repeats, Giada De Laurentiis visits Seattle for a food-lover's weekend. Kerry Sear at Cascadia reveals, among other things, his recipe for Alpine Martinis.

Meantime, what a week for restaurant reviews! For once, four home runs.

Over at the Seattle Times, Nancy Leson lights into Barolo. Spoiler alert: sensitive Seattle readers may be shocked to find words like "inedible" and "sludgelike" in a restaurant review. Decisive, incisive writing. Love that Pietro Rabbit!

Over at the Post-Intelligencer, Rebeka Denn visits Cucina DeRa, comes away impressed only by its "cost-to-lackluster ratio."

At Seattle Weekly, Seattle newcomer Jonathan Kauffman goes goat-hunting, actually finds a few authentic Mexican taquerias. Hey! There's goats all over Belltown, too, Jonathan! Jamaican goats curried, Cuban goats jerked, just for a start.

And at The Stranger, Angela Garbes delves deep into organ meats. Tongue, brains, guts. Yup, all edible, all delicious.

Don't forget that Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" episode in the Pacific Northwest airs on Monday on the Travel Channel. I don't know how Seattle-centric it will be, but they wouldn't call it "Pacific Northwest" if it was only Portland...would they?
