"Kitsap Sun looks like it might be in jeopardy." Come on, let's be responsible here. The story says nothing of the sort. So Scripps is considering selling its newspaper division. That's a far cry from shuttering any of the papers. Sure, a lot of newspapers are struggling these days. But I think you'd be very surprised to learn how many make a very healthy profit. The King County Journal was a mediocre newspaper in a highly competitive market. It's hardly representative of the entire industry.

Well they are not saying they are thinking about closing the newspaper division that owns the Kitsap Sun but rather just sell it. But I am sure that there are a whole bunch of people over at the Kitsap sun that are going to have themselves a nice strong cocktail and breath in a paperbag tonight.
