Jay Buhner Is a Hall-of-Famer (according to one guy)

The results for the Baseball Hall of Fame voting are in. Cal Ripken, Jr., and Tony Gwynn make the Hall, Mark McGwire wasn't even close.

Jay Buhner got one vote, about 408 short of what he needed to make the Hall. Another former Mariner, Goose Gossage, also fell shy, but by only 21 votes.

I was happy to hear that Big Mac didn't make the cut--only because it means Bonds shouldn't make the cut when he's eligible, either. Woo.

Not that this is going to help the bone get into the Hall of Fame, but sometimes the one, lone guy is right. Take former WSU head coach Jim Walden for example; He's the one guy who voted Florida ahead of OSU in the BCS poll previous to last night's game.

  • are you SURE chris bosio didn't get a vote?

That picture was too damn big.

  • Frank

    The picture was changed, why?

And Jay Buhner is my all-time favorite Mariner.

  • David

The first real Mariner to get a Hall of Fame vote.
