if you live in the seattle area (and drive), you are a seattle driver. i don't care if you've been here a week or your whole life. the brush i paint with covers all.

wise-up and follow the rule of the road: stay to the right except to pass.

Just to be clear...the majority of so-called "Seattle Drivers" are transplants to this area...

I am consistently shocked that drivers in Seattle do not know two simple rules, which are generally adhered to where I come from (Chicago):
1. Slow drivers move to the right lane(s)
2. Don't go the same speed as the car next to you. Go faster, go slower, but don't go the same speed. Especially on a 4-lane highway (2 lanes each direction)!

I regularly drive I-90 westbound at 7am, and am frustrated on a daily basis by people going 55 in the left lane for no apparent reason, and everyone around them going the same speed. Because they don't observe rule #2, there is no way around or through this pack. It leaves me fuming!

both are correct. some drivers are stoned and the majority of the rest are just idiots.

this town prides itself on its high level of college educated citizenry; unfortunately they lack common sense or experience. it's a "i went to college and learned all about theory and read a lot of books, but don't ask me to actually be able to put it into practice" attitude around here.

any of the major freeways in the area are a perfect example of this.

Hey, slow-asses. Get your shit to the right lane where you can keep your blinker on as long as you want and drive however the hell you'd like, a safe lane or two away from us good drivers. Keep preachin', Matt.
