Since 2002 Seattleites have spent the first week of January asking themselves if this is the year a decision will finally be made on the Viaduct.
When the governor announced last March that she would be making a decision by December, it looked like 2006 might finally be the year. Well, it took ten months for her to announce that we should decide, not her.
This decision upset the City Council, who wants the tunnel and doesn't seem thrilled to put the issue to a public vote.
So, we ask you, on the first week of 2008, will we be:
a) Still wondering about the fate of the viaduct
b) Celebrating a final decision
c) In our car under a pile of concrete
d) Pregnant
