Richard Hugo House invites writers age 18 and older to submit manuscripts of fewer than 5,000 words to its erotica writing competition. The theme is "One Foot on the Floor" and the deadline is February 1. The winner will receive a $250 prize, a $50 gift certificate from Babeland and the chance to read on the Hugo House cabaret stage with an established writer on February 13, 2007.Granted, the $5 entry fee is a little more expensive than Penthouse Forum, but you don't have to start your story with "I never thought this would happen to me."We are seeking excellent writing with an erotic charge rather than stories that rely on graphic language to carry the story. We encourage lyric outbursts and sensual language.
