One of Seattlest's most trusted real estate-hating spies heard a rumor recently that since opening earlier this year, the Capitol Hill condo behemoth The Braeburn has enjoyed more than 100 repairs on its elevator, six of which have included people trapped inside. If this rumor is true, we really hope for the victims' sake that the Braeburn's elevators are at least somewhat bigger than their quarter million dollar studios, because it would really suck to be trapped in something that small. Can anybody reading this confirm or deny? We're just curious.

I can't confirm the numbers, but I've been renting at the Braeburn since late May, and there are very few weeks I can recall with no elevator repair happening. Definitely not scientific data, but it has been annoying.
