Something's going on at TechCrunch, the website you and 18 kajillion other Web 2.0 fans have recently become slavishly addicted to. Are they reporting on where venture capital riches go over there, or are they directing it? It's open to questioning. Anyway, TechCrunch wonderboy-in-chief Michael Arrington is not exactly AWOL right now, but he's obviously taking it down a few notches and there's a new face picking up the slack in a decidedly journalist-y manner. Don't freak out and leave twenty "TechCrunch sucks now" comments on the site. Instead, go ski.
Arrington is on holiday right here in Washington. According to this San Francisco Chronicle article he's enjoying Mount Baker for the month and hanging with the P's on San Juan Island, so if you're a guy from this list maybe now is the time to get a little love for the Seattle startup community. Wait...what is that? It's your future self shouting something... He says to grab your snowboard. laminate your business plan and head north for the week. If you can get the kingmaker cornered on a chairlift you've got a captive audience for ten minutes or so to pitch your ski-focused social network slash video sharing site. Single! Michael Arrington, single! Single!
