Since we are trying our dangest to fall in love with the only remaining NBA team in the Northwest, the one with all those Seattle connections, we have mercifully been spared following the Sonics this season.
However, we couldn't help but read Percy Allen's article in the Times this morning, which claims that unless the team starts winning by the end of the month, then the coach and some of the players will be leaving Seattle a few months ahead of the team.
Honestly, why would you trade Rashard Lewis, Chris Wilcox, Earl Watson, and Damien Wilkins when those are the good players? We thought that this new ownership was making this season a priority so the city will climb on board and we can keep the green and gold here. A team with Luke Ridnour, Nick Collison, and Sene ain’t gonna git-r-done. What is the new ownership thinking?
It's almost as if they are unloading the talent and filling up the roster with hacks on purpose. That way the team will play even worse, thereby totally disenfranchising the city, making it much easier to move the team...Oh my god, Clay Bennett is stealing his business plan from the movie Major League.
Well then we guess there's only one thing left to do. Win the whole fucking thing.

I nominate Dan Majerle for the "Roger Dorn" type.
Ummmm, IIRC they lost in the playoffs (we were filled in on that note in Major League 2).
