Music: The electronic talent of Guillermo Scott Herren's Prefuse 73 show at Chop Suey tonight comes highly recommended from every quarter of the Seattle media scape, and after listening to some of his work you can see why.

Even More Music: A friend recommends the new deal at the Baltic Room called "The Beatdown." Quoth the friend: "I stopped by the first week and not only was the music top-notch (early-mid-90's hiphop - Pharcyde, Lords of the Underground), they even had some spoken word and freestyle mcs. I wasn't so down with the poetry, but the mcs gave the night a bit of a spark. It had a good energy, and it'd be good to have a night like that do well to bring some balance to the hiphop weekly options out there." Who knows if this friend can be trusted?

Start Saying Goodbye: In one of our better posts this past week, we talked a little about the coming loss of some Capitol Hill institutions. The demise won't be for a year or so, but it's never too early to start paying your respects and maybe even create some new memories to warm yourself in the nursing home. They won't compare to the adventures you and your friends may have enjoyed before the Hill stopped being cool - that Aurora Ave stripper someone met at the Cha Cha Lounge, the crazy confrontational guy from the Kincora's bathroom, that Bimbo's burrito that didn't agree with you and which you promptly spewed out your mouth and nose all over a store window and the vomit stink that stung your nostrils for days - but still you should seize the day and start enjoying these places more before they're gone forever.
