No, the Other Theater: The new movies out this weekend are shite, so this is your chance to catch up on the wealth of quality films already in theaters. Babel, Borat, Casino Royale, For Your Consideration, The Fountain, Little Children, Marie Antoinette, The Queen, Stranger Than Fiction, and Volver are all continuing their Seattle runs. Go now before you get back-logged further with the scads of Oscar contenders released later this month.

Dancing, Genocide: Enjoy a night out chockful of music, but wish you could incorporate civil war and ethnic cleansing? Tonight's party at the Lo_Fi promises the best of both worlds, with "the turntable stylings of DJ Winyo and DJ Rat, the hi-fi energy of Handful of Luvin', and the delicious groove of Forgotten Sol." Proceeds from the event will benefit the International Rescue Committee's efforts in Darfur.
8:00pm // Lo_Fi Performance Gallery (429B Eastlake Ave. E.) // Suggested donation of $15
Like You Got Served, But With Christmas Carols: Ring in December with the 20th annual Great Figgy Pudding Street Corner Caroling Competition, in which 40+ caroling teams, "from dancing lawyers, to costumed co-workers, to Von Trapp-like families," compete to win awards for best choral performance, most creative team, people's choice, and for collecting the most donations. You see, it's not just a caroling battle to the death; it's also a charity event, with the money raised by the teams (last year: $80K) going to the Pike Market Senior Center and Downtown Food Bank. Do it for the children, or in this case, the homeless and at-risk senior citizens.
6:00-8:30pm // Westlake Center & Pine St. between 3rd Ave. & 7th Ave. // Whatever you wanna give 'em.
