Nick Lachey Buys Tacoma Rainiers, Tacomans (?) Rejoice
Everyone knows the recipe for fame in America...
1) Marry famous singer.
2) Appear in reality program.
3) Buy ownership share in the Tacoma Rainiers AAA minor league baseball team.
Kevin Federline must be just kicking himself, because Nick Lachey's outflanked him on step 3. As we write this, and perhaps as you read it, America's favorite ex-husband is in Tacoma, showing his face as the new part-owner Tacoma's very own baseball team, which is the Mariners' AAA affiliate.
Tacoma doesn't get a ton of love from the celebrity world, and this small recognition of their existence by someone who's been within spitting distance of Mary Hart has got residents going a little loco. From Exit133.com, tagline (really) "In Tacoma By Choice!":
Nick Lachey is probably one of the largest male vocalists out right now. I would say he is at the top of his career. He is on TV entertainment shows daily and his songs are in rotation on radio stations. This will bring a large amount of attention to Tacoma and the Tacoma Rainiers and I am guessing a renewed interest in the team and stadium.
Hmm...we don't know about "largest." But we'd agree he's at the top of his career.
