Snowcap Recap, Pt. 2

It's hard to recall, frankly, because Snow Cap is pretty hefty stuff and we had more than our fair share, but if that's not a sign that the second night of Pyramid Brewing's Get Snowed In party was a good time, we don't know what is.

The Saturday show, featuring Matt Costa and The Evergreen Effect was the sort of rollicking good time you would expect from the feel-good hippies, tree-huggers, and snowboarders (stocking caps everywhere!) who filled out the massive tent behind Pyramid's brewpub celebrating the 20th anniversary of the brewery's flagship seasonal.

The music Costa and The Evergreen Effect delivered was peppy, feel-good, acoustic rock delightfully free of the sort of embittered irony and emo-ish self-loathing you get in the average Capitol Hill club. And the audience responded, dancing along happily despite pricy beers and the bitterly cold air coming in. In short, an awesome celebration of one of the Northwest's pioneering microbrews.
