If the voting public of the United States had gotten a chance to vote directly against Donald Rumsfeld last night, it would have been a landslide on the order of Seattle Initiative 91. Doesn't matter who the other guy was. It could have been Gary Ridgeway, the Green River Killer himself, or Mike McGavick even, getting sworn into office in January. We can dispense with all that, though, because all the Democratic voting for State legislatures, Federal legislatures, governors, etc, etc, apparently got through; pierced Bush's bubble. Rumsfeld resigned today and he's stepping down to be replaced by former CIA head Robert Gates. See ya.

Tuesdays are Muppet Days

Senator-Elect Tester in Montana and Senator-Elect Webb in Virginia just declared victory but the republicans have yet to admit concessions. And then the lying sack of crap Neocon Iraq war architect just resigned and is probably going to lawyer up and head to a secluded compound in South America or Wyoming… My god the news just keeps getting better and better.
U-S-A! U-S-A!
You might remember the gubernatorial election of 2004 where the result was overturned after a recount.
While the vote margins in Virginia and Montana do not appear to be anywhere near as close as that Gregoire/Rossi decision, why shouldn't Burns and Allen have the right to wait for a recount?
They're going to lose anyway, let the procedure run its course.
U-S-A! U-S-A!U-S-A! U-S-A!
And if you don't like it you can run off to Austrailia!
I can't wait to tell every complaining Republican to go to Canada.
I can't wait to tell my friends it might be safe to move back from Canada.
today is a day for celebration!
I personally would like to thanks George Bush and Karl Rove for creating the single biggest Republican electoral defeat of my life time. Thanks guys!
outside news of a burner comeback victory, it would be hard for this day to get any better... well, a better nominee for secdef, but that obviously wasn't going to happen.
Well it could get better Senator Allen could always admit defeat and then it would give control of the US Senate to Senator Harry Reid. Either that or a leprechaun riding a unicorn could come and give us all a pot of gold both would be pretty hard to top.
51 Democrats in the Senate... Senator Harry Reid will have the gavel! The leprechaun riding a unicorn should show up any time now!
