GORDO'S at Shilshole...amazing and super fresh. A dumpy looking shack this place rules! If you already know about it, then no surprise but if you haven't gone, go. Seriously, go now. Too bad about Daly's - !

Best fish and chips in the Seattle area? British Pantry in Redmond, hands down. For one thing, you get a large piece of fish, not small pieces of fish, and the batter is just right. The chips are thick and tasty, not McDonald's fries skinny. And you can have it with a real pot of tea...

I'll be chained to the Zoo with you, Nate--or more likely, just stuck to the bar.

Daly's also has an above average salmon burger.

Damn, I'm going to hate to see Daly's go, for the shakes more than anything.

SUNFISH on Alki! The best fish and chips I've ever had, and I'm not a huge fish and chips person. Halibut- crunchy and delicious. They also have their own infused vinegars with chili and garlic and such on the tables. Yum! It's totally worth it, though it's a bit of a drive for us in the city.

This is a sad day! I live a few blocks from Daly's but had no clue about the demolition. This is another loss for Eastlake (following the loss of Hines Coffee and Bandoleone).

When (not if) the bulldozers come to demolish The Zoo to throw up more condos, they'll have a hard time unchaining me from the side of the building.
