i have no opinion on lidell, but i think seth's opinion is completely valid. sometimes, a few songs are all you need to know that an artist isn't for you & a fancy live show won't change that. similarly, i'll never see the black angels (velvets redux) or ghostland observatory (hot hot heat w/ a drum machine) no matter how much people rave about their live shows. crappy bands don't deserve the chance to waste my time or money.

Seth, you've listened to but a few Lidell tracks, and you've never seen him perform, so you don't know shit. Three of the four times I've seen him live, I've taken individuals who had never seen him (nor heard him in the recorded form), and each and every time they've been won over near-instantaneously by Jamie's mad skillz and impish attitude. You stick to sports, dear, and leave the music to us.

i can't post my answer to you publicly. most people who are "friendly" with him know the reasons why to hate him. let's just put it that way. not someone you would want to support once you got to know him. let's leave it at that.

Uninformed? No--I listened to Jamie Lidell, he's an Al Green impersonator with some Frampton Comes Alive-era stage tricks. And Lebron James DEFINITELY only comes to Seattle once this year, because the Cavs are an Eastern Conference team. The Sonics (a Western Conference team), play each Eastern Conference team twice a year--once at home, once away. It's been that way for ages.

it's the same stupid world that books dj eddie to open this show. the guy is a jerk. i could tell stories, but most people who know him know the stories and stay away.
