A Very Special "Ask Steve"

steve_pool1.jpgAt a reader's request, we've set up a special, and entirely fictional, interview with longtime KOMO weatherman Steve Pool.

Seattlest: There's a puddle the size of leftfield in our parking lot, Steve. What gives?

Pool: Well, the existing weather system picked up tropical moisture from Hawaii, and...

Seattlest: Shut up, Steve. We don't care. When are you going to make it stop?

Pool: I can't control the weather.

Seattlest: Why not? You control the aging process. Seriously, you've been the weatherman since we wore 4x shirts and you look exactly the same. Our sister is sure you're an alien.

Pool: That's not true, I've never even been to the planet Blort.

Seattlest:
We never said anything about the planet Blort. You are so busted. Anyway, if you aren't going to stop the rain, when will God stop it?

Pool: Late Monday this storm will pass. Tuesday will still be wet, but the rain will be sporadic, not steady. It might even be sunny.

I believe Steve said it all when he said this:
"A 'pineapple express' is a weather pattern when we get to say 'aloha' to some driving rains."

It's a life philosophy really.
