New Actors On The Bill For "The Battle In Seattle"
We're anxiously awaiting the 2008 movie based on the WTO events in Seattle, although we hope "The Battle in Seattle" is only a working title. They're filming right now, but don't rush to the window hoping for a glimpse of one of the stars - We think they're in Vancouver.
Yesterday four new actors were added to the project. Charlize Theron, Woody Harrelson, Ray Liotta are in it already. Andre Benjamin and Martin Henderson are previously known to be involved, but now we can add Michelle Rodriguez, Jennifer Carpenter, Channing Tatum and Tzi Ma to the list of actors we don't recognize the names of who are attached to the film. Google, don't fail us now...
Michelle Rodriguez is on the television series Lost which we'd know if we weren't too intimidated by the backstory to ever try watching it. She's also done a lot of voice work for various video games including Halo 2 which is weird because it looks like she's Hollywood hot (that's her on the left there licking her armpit). The reported "documentary style" of this movie tells us that a lot of work is going to go into making Michelle, Charlize and Woody look less attractive than they actually are. Jennifer Carpenter has done some TV and was in "The Exorcism of Emily Rose." You may know Channing Tatum from his role as "Boy in church scene" from the 2005 hit "War of the Worlds" and Tzi Ma has been working his ass off lately according to IMDB. Besides a recurring role on 24 he was in "Akeela and the Bee" as Mr. Chiu.

Dan, you aren't kidding about not watching Lost. Rodriguez "left" Lost last season after her real-life DUI and subsequently getting gutshot on the show. It was in all the papers.

But not, you may have noticed, in "All the News."

As an actual 1999 WTO protestor I can't wait to protest the Seattle opening of this movie and hand out flyers about the fact that they are outsourcing the production to Canada.
