Self-Service Taxi Trip Lands Husky RB in Jail

m_houston_cab.jpegWashington Husky running back Michael Houston is off the team and, presumably, not going to get a pickup from Orange Cab anytime soon after some Saturday night hijinks involving a taxi, a McDonalds, and--it goes without saying--a strip club.

From the Times:

According to a police report from the King County Sheriff's office, Houston, two other men and a woman were picked up by an Orange Cab at Déjà Vu, a strip club on Bothell Way Northeast. After the cab drove them to a nearby McDonald's, the woman spit on a window, the report said. When the cab driver stepped outside to call 911 on his cellphone, Houston jumped from the back seat to the front of the cab and drove away.

Cops later caught Houston trying to ditch the cab on Lake City Way. The backup running back, who was ineligible to play this year after transferring from the University of Texas, spent a day and a half in jail. He's suspended from the team until the school conducts an investigation.

The News Tribune's Don Ruiz profiled Houston in August, and came away with this conclusion:

From this first meeting, he seems like a polite, well-spoken guy who fans should like.

Fans of auto theft, maybe.
