Tuesday 10th

>>> Clap Your Hands Say Yeah at The Showbox, with Architecture in Helsinki and Takka Takka. A KEXP benefit show, playing Tuesday and Wednesday.
8pm; All ages Tuesday, 21+ Wednesday; Sold Out! (Craig's List has some for sale or trade)

>>> Chip Taylor & Carrie Rodriguez at The Tractor. alt.country would just be whiney cowboys without Chip Taylor, and the fiddle would just be a pansy cello without Carrie Rodriguez.
8pm; $12 adv/$14 dos

Thursday 12th

>>> Todd Snider at The Tractor. Todd Snider is one of the best damn hippy folksingers around.
8pm; $18 adv/$20 dos

Friday 13th

>>> Visqueen (and some other folks) at The Crocodile. Like the rest of Seattle, we have a huge crush on Rachel Flotard. We'll be there with stars in our eyes.
9:30pm doors; $10. 21+

>>> Derrick May at Element. Yes, this is at Element, but it's still one of the fathers of techno, so pay your respects. If enough non-shiny-shirters show up, this might turn out to be fun despite its location.
10pm doors; $15 after 11pm. 21+

>>> Uncle Earl at The Tractor. The best buncha ladies in old time music.
9pm; $12

Saturday 14th

>>> Bobby Bare Jr. at Neumo's. Thrilling southern rock straight from the soft parts of the heart. Tim Seely (full band) and Ghostfinger opening.
8pm; $12 adv. $20 dos. 21+

>>> The Dresden Dolls at The Showbox. Eclectic pop meets caberet with this smartly-dressed duo.
8pm; $18 adv/$20 dos. All ages

Sunday 15th

>>> Sufjan Stevens at the Paramount. Sufjan loves Jesus, elaborate orchestration, various states in the Union. We love Sufjan.
8pm; long sold out, but some outrageously priced tix available on Craigslist

>>> Yo La Tengo at The Showbox. Yo La Tengo is winning for this year's best album title (I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass), so go support that and the fact they're great.
8pm doors; $18. 21+

Monday 16th

>>> Kasabian at Neumo's. New album came out in August. We haven't listened yet, but the last one absolutely killed -- a perfect rock/pop kool aid. Playing with Mew, who makes the most awesomest Danish prog rock EVER.
8pm; $13 adv/$15 dos. 21+
