The Expert Cometh. Again.

When he last graced our fine city, Mr. Jonathan Hodgman was touring for his new book The Areas of My Expertise. He has since then become straightman-comic hawker of Apple computers and Resident Expert on the Daily Show. Seattlest could possibly be more jealous, but we're not certain.

He is back on tour because his book has been released in paperback. Is that the literary equivalent of a pop-song/DJ remix mashup? We hope to find out what Mr. Hodgman thinks of the subject. When we attended his reading earlier this year at Elliot Bay (which will also be the scene of his paperback redux reading), we laughed and almost cried and didn't end up getting a word with him, so we made up our own interview and posted it. Which he then apparently saw, and commented on very kindly and Seattlest floated on air for weeks. This time, we intend to have a few words with the man.

I saw him after the 826 benefit show -- stood there waiting to say hi, but left disappointed because of all the women shoving themselves around me to touch his hand or his aura. Oh well. I got a funny picture of my wife, some junior mints and the back of his head.

Anyway -- loves me some Hodgman. I'm so there.
