We were sweating it for a while there. It was obvious the Seattle-o-sphere was popping rivets under the stress of, well, whatever would stress us. We can't think of anything. Nevermind, our Great Hope has returned and apparently Capitol Hill Seattle Blog isn't one to waste any time jumping back into things after a vacation. They're currently asking for the person who left the following comment on their site, or anyone with related information to email jseattle@gmail.com.
9/27/2006 3:06 PMAnonymous: Call to action! Save our Mail Carrier!
Our beloved Capitol Hill mail carrier , ***, is in danger of losing his job with the postal service. If nothing changes, he will be terminated as of Oct 18th. Many of us know that *** is HIV+ and as such, has had numerous periods of illness in the past several years. Despite his exemplary service, his manager is firing him because of these absences. *** wants to work. He does not want to be on disability or receive any monetary compensation other than earning his salary.
He needs our help. Please join us in providing letters of support for ***. Capitol Hill needs his friendly face and great service. You can help by sending (quickly) a short note of support to:

Welcome back, Great Green-Shirt-Clad Hope.
On a related note, why is Pike Place Politics still devoted to Wild Cats Videos?
i'm thinking the mail carrier in question isn't the same one i have, who keeps leaving my packages out in a busy lobby to get stolen. i'm going to start a personal campaign against them. i wanted that thom yorke cd!
I also doubt it's my guy who, back when I was unemployed, used to look into my window every day and see me in nothing but a robe and slippers sitting on the couch in front of a laptop and a whisky. Did you bring a check today, mailman?
Good to be back. The more we think about it, the more we're convinced you're all screwed if we're your only hope. Case in point: We've received no info on this to date -- haven't even seen the expected surge in spam to jseattle@gmail.com. Yes, that's jseattle@gmail.com. Bring it spammers! Planning to give the PO a call on Monday but expectations for more data are low low low.
