I was unaware we had an ounce of credibility to give... I have to defend the umbrella, though. First, as I stated I never use it - I'll walk through almost any rain that Seattle can give and know that I won't melt or anything, but every once in a while you have to wait for a bus where there is no shelter and you can get soaked. Second, I'm just not into gortex.
