Detroit had all offseason to prepare for the Hawks. They came up with some wacky shifting schemes that confused our line. No worries.

If the Hawks can't run against the undersized AZ Cardinals defensive line, then I'll panic.

Actually he costs 14 million. The rest was just to upset the Vikings.

What this tells me is that Seattle needs more knowledgable fans. One game doesn't prove that losing Hutch was bad. We lost our opener last year and went to the Superbowl. Not to mention Hutch was stolen by the Vikings because the team tried to treat him with respect. They'll never make that mistake again.

The front office is not admiting that Burleson was a mistake - because it's way too early to say it was a mistake. And that's not even accounting for the fact that NFL contracts are not guaranteed. Hence there is no guarantee that he's going to ever get that 50 million!

What it says to me - The Seahawks Front Office saw an opportunity ti get a quality player, on the field and in the lockeroom, for a steal, and acted. And that's great. Imagine a SuperBowl MVP for a late first round draft choice.

A steal, I say. Cheers to Ruskell et al.

D. Branch is a good player and the 'Hawks are better with him, but what exactly is the front office admitting with this interesting move? That Burleson was a $50 million mistake?

Did anyone else notice that the announcers seemed to treat Alexander getting stuffed, Hasselback getting pummelled into the turf, and those blocked field goals as proof that Detroit had the world's most awesome D-line?

I really felt like the Hutchinson loss was what was the most evident about last week's game. An article I read in the times quoted alexander as saying that they showed that even when they look bad they can win, which championship caliber teams need to do, but after five sacks and two blocked FGs, it makes you grit your teeth a bit. hopefully our new WR will be able to offset that a bit, but if matt gets rocked all game he's going to get injured, good WRs be damned. we'll see how they do at home against the cardinals, eh?

I wouldn't panic after one game. They looked horrible after last years opener too.

I'm in love with this deal.

After watching the first game without Hutchinson I think it may be time to move to a higher panic level.

i was going to say, I would like to see our offensive line improve so that alexander can actually find a lane or matt can stay in the pocket long enough for our wideouts to run their routes. either way, branch will be a good addition
