Washington Beats Oklahoma...in Other Things

oklahoma.jpgWe love Husky football, even when the team is in the midst a "victory deficient stage," we still get excited for games against Top 20 teams. Which is why we are clearing our schedule to watch the purple and gold get absolutely stomped in Norman tomorrow when they face the number 10 ranked Oklahoma Sooners.

The game will be a rematch of the 1985 Orange Bowl in which the Huskies and the Sooner Schooner beat Oklahoma 28-17. This lead to the first National Championship in team history…oh wait, I forgot, AP voters are a bunch of douche-munchers who don't know the first thing about college football.

Sorry about that, where were we?

Oh yes, not only are the Huskies going to get run by the Sooners, but the state of Oklahoma is also about to take our basketball team. What is going on? We are getting a Broken Bow Lake-size hurting put on us by that state.

So why shouldn't we just drive out to their middle of nowhere location and surrender to their bat-shit insane senator?

Because we are the State of Washington, that is why!

We rank higher in education statistics, have a higher per capita income, and more interstates run though The Evergreen Sate that Texas' Upper Buddy. We gave the world Jimi Hendrix, Quincy Jones, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana. A much more impressive list than Arlo Guthrie and Vince Gill.

The tallest point in Oklahoma is 4,000 feet. Ha! We have baby sasquatch taller than that.

So as you are watching Adrian Peterson rush for another touchdown while ordering your Zach Randolph jersey, look out of your window. Enjoy your view across the ferry-covered Puget Sound towards the Olympic Mountains and be glad you aren't cringing at the site of barren, dusty, wind swept plains.

Oh, and by the way, Broken Bow Lake is man-made.
