Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings are Some Sort of Performing Royalty

A sharply dressed, smooth talking, kind a man your momma warned you about kind of man walks across the stage to a microphone. He stands there and when every person at the Bumbrella stage expects him to talk he snaps his fingers and the band behind him explodes with the soul funk

"Ladies and gentleman I'd like to welcome you here tonight to a very special performance. Tonight you are going to see soul. Tonight you are going to see dancing. Tonight you are going to see funk. Tonight you are going to see the greatest superstar performer that has ever graced the stage. She is going to shake you and bake you and break you and by the end of the night you are going to realize that the only woman you ever loved was Miss… Sharon… Jones!"

As she runs on stage dressed in silver sequins, dances like a hellbound disco ball, and sings songs about teaching young men how to behave when courting a woman, you realize that he was right.

Sharon Jones hand picks a 20-something piece of man meat from the audience, dances scandalously with him and says:

"You gotta be easy baby, cause if you're easy, she'll be easy too."
