    i fear the all the naysaying about the viaduct replacement may turn out to be correct. our elected officials are spineless wimps who can't make a decision. the means sticking with the eventual decision probably won't happen, either.

    i'm disgusted by the short-sighted thinking of the PWC & want nothing more than for them to lose. they probably will initially, but get their way simply through the usual seattle process. the only potential saving grace is that the state (don't forget that the viaduct is part of a functioning highway) will have to be heavily involved so equivocating may be somewhat dampened. i'm impressed by the work gregoire has done so far to build coalitions and get things done.
