Love Bumbershoot, but wish it were more elitist? You're in luck.
New this year, however, is a tiny, private venue that you won’t find on any map. The new "Bumbershoot Music Lounge" will showcase intimate interviews and performances with some of the hottest Bumbershoot artists, and the only way to be a part of the live studio audience is to win an invitation from one of two Seattle radio stations, or be a lucky BumberFan.
Want in? Your options involve games of chance:
-Enter to win at the Bumbershoot website or at KEXP.org. Online entries accepted now through Monday at 10am.
-Listen to The End. Call the DJ when prompted. Now through Friday at 5pm.
BumberFans win admission to their choice of the three shows, The End winners get into the End Session, and KEXP winners get a choice of the two KEXP showcases. So look at the schedule before determining how you're going to win.

In a perfect world, on Saturday we'd skip the "emo" and catch BWE. Sunday, we'd like to see Badly Drawn Boy in a tiny venue, same for Jose Gonzalez, and we're always down for Spoon. And on Monday, we'd check out a little bit of everyone. But balancing these lounge sessions with the rest of the festival? That'd take hard work.

Around The -Ists This Week
