High School Sports Are Starting Again!

cheerleader.jpgThe Seattle Times alerts us that high-school football is starting soon.

Let's roll!

Here's the WashingtonPreps.com top 25 (regardless of classification). Seattle's Rainier Beach is ranked #3 in the state--they reached the 3A semifinals next year and bring practically everybody back.

So we could see another city football champion in 2006, a pretty rare occurence in a sport dominated by suburban players whose daddys can pay for summer camps and personal coaches. We're not bitter, though.

We'll be all over high school sports again this year, pleasing about 15 people and boring the rest beyond all precedent.

For those 15 of you, here's something new. Our Seattlest High School Sports Game Calendar!

Seattlest will be going to each of the games on this calendar, which will contain a blurb about each team, which will get updated close to game day. Also, the address of the stadium, parking tips, the game time, and any other pertinent information.

So, if you enjoy going to high school sporting events (translation: if you haven't the slightest prospect of getting laid in this geological epoch) please check it out. There's only one game on there now, but that will change, and oh man are we excited.
