For years China has been sending us cheap, crappy products, and now the US of A is about to return the favor.
Former Husky Mike Jensen has signed with Shaanxi Kylins of the Chinese Basketball Association (the CBA that Isiah Thomas didn't run into the ground...yet.)
Bob Condotta has the story on his fantastic Husky Hoop Blog.
Jensen is best known for hitting awkward three pointers and making Husky fans scream in pain at his boneheaded decisions. None boneheadier then in this year's tournament when he fouled UConn's Marcus Williams on a drive to the basket, when the Huskies were up four with 13 seconds left.
Will you excuse us for a second?
[Sound of us walking out of room, down hall, out of building, into alley, and then a very loud muffled scream.]
Sorry about that, where were we? Ah yes. It was a play that caused Seattlest Seth to remark, "Mike Jensen, I've hated you for four years, and now I get to hate you for the rest of my life."
How do you say "What were you thinking?" in Chinese?
In other Montlake news, the football team has been ranked number 98 by Sports Illustrated. That's right, our beloved purple and gold are ranked behind such storied programs as Louisiana Lafayette, San Jose State, and Bowling Green.
Lucky for Husky football fans, Bob Condotta also has a blog about that team. Seriously, the guy should be given a medal or something.
