Yes, by this point it's been completely overhyped, and there's no way it could possibly be as awesome as we originally imagined, but Snakes on a Plane is finally in theaters this Friday.
If you wait and see it on DVD, it'll suck; if you wait for a half-empty matinee, it'll suck. Truly, the only way to experience this pinnacle of cinema verité is opening weekend, with a loud, raucous, preferably drunk audience.
Seattlest whole-heartedly recommends the Cinerama on Thursday night. Tickets for the 10pm and 12:45am screenings are available now. Better buy 'em soon.

Friendly Folk-Pop for the Kids: Hey Marseilles at Vera This Saturday

Is there anyone out there who hasn't gotten a call from Samuel Jackson about this movie?
I think that we hit the overhyped point a few months ago. Now it's well beyond terminology, but I expect that the crash will hit on 19 August.
