It's a crying shame that no one cares enough about the Port to really understand what a financial suck it is on the city through it's constant mismanagement. Absolutely we should applaud a man like Lloyd Hara, who has a great track record as the kind of public servant we all hope for when we vote for government to solve our problems but too rarely get. We should also be kicking ourselves for re-electing Pat Davis because of her "experience" over Jack Jolley, a guy who didn't have the public track record but only oversaw the management of an invenstment portfolio for a little company called Microsoft.

Hopefully Jack has the guts to run again, and this time I won't just politely clap when he speaks but jump in with both feet to support his campaign against the status quo at the Port. Frankly, we should expect more from our government entities, and I want to thank Michael for bringing this issue to light for me. I knew it was bad, but I didn't realize it was *that* bad. Hopefully Mr. Sonntag, now with the authority of Eyman's I-900, will exercise such authority and put Davis and company under a very powerful microscope.
