the decision is out of the city's hands? No, no, I think no. If the council would get together and declare "we want this" or "we want that," you'd have a lot more political support behind the funding. Our senators aren't going to go out and fight for funding when the council hasn't even said they want something. This is the biggest issue facing Seattle and the council does nothing but delay, study, study, delay. Awful.

Why do you think the City Council is relevant to the decision on the Viaduct? The Tunnel is a dead letter because the City doesn't the money. The money which is available comes from the State. The decision is out of the City's hands.

This was a bad one. the heat and the crushingly bad news from all directions. Listen to Paul, though. "this too shall pass" is a good thing to remember about anything bad in ones life. Even the bad stuff has to go away after time.
