We've got a sun hangover after this weekend's heat. It was 97 on Friday (!) and 96 on Saturday. Those were both records. Then it was 95 on Sunday. That's 288 degrees of heat in three days.
Seattlest spent Saturday at a pool party, and Sunday was out on a giant inflatable contraption in Green Lake.
Here in our office, the air conditioning has said "uncle" and is only cooling 1/2 the building.
KOMO says that, though they expected it to cool off, we're looking at another day of mid-90s temperatures in Western Washington. Late Monday, cool air moves in and it will only be in the high-70s on Tuesday.

The night time is the right time. The sun is the beast...
I hate summer. People wonder why -- it's weeks like this. I'd be happy if the thermometer never got above 70, so 95 is torture. (Anything up to 80 or so is livable.)
At least it's not as humid here as it was back in Milwaukee -- I remember 95 degree days with 99% humidity. Don't bother drying off after your shower.
AC is down in my office too. We've been asked to keep our blinds closed. Nice.
But don't you like that process of getting hot, then going in the water, then getting hot again, then going in the water again? Good times!
It was 118 here in Phoenix on Friday, 6 degrees shor tof the all time high so 95 sounds good to me. Luckly I'm coming home for a wedding on Wednesday!
And don't give me any of that "dry heat" stuff...
I'll just give you that "what'd you expect when you moved to a desert?" stuff.
I did slightly prefer 110 in Phoenix to 95 in Milwaukee, but 118 sounds beastly regardless. Dry heat only takes you so far.
