First, let us make ourselves clear – there is plenty that we love at Crave.
We love their salads, but we love the beet salad the most.
We love their starters, but we love the hot and spicy Mediterranean mussels, which are on what we hope is a temporary vacation from the menu, the most.
We love their main courses, especially anything they ever do to a lamb shank, and the rib eye on the menu now is not only tender and flavorful, but it comes with the most divine, guilty-pleasure mashed potatoes we've had in a long time.
But what we really CRAVE at Crave, what we cannot visit them without indulging in, what would literally make us cry if it were to leave the menu, is their frozen chocolate and banana terrine with coconut gelato.
Decadent ganache and whole bananas are frozen together in a loaf, and it's served in many very thin slices hovering over a healthy scoop of coconut gelato.
It's been on the menu for as long as we've been going to Crave (which feels like a long time), and we're hoping it qualifies as a "signature dish" and is therefore immune to change.
We just noticed that it is not on the menu that is posted on their website (which is an old menu, anyway), and that's put a bit of a panic in us. But it's on the printed menu now, so while the summer weather really warrants it, we strongly suggest you go check it out.
