Remember Steve Largent's Son? The One With Spina Bifida? Well...

If you grew up in Seattle and were any kind of a Hawks fan, you'll recall all the United Way ads with Steve Largent and his son Kramer, who suffers from spina bifida, a birth defect. Heartwarming, they were.

This, less so. A Delaware grand jury contends that, in addition to spina bifida, Kramer (now 20) also suffers from a predeliction for underage girls.

He's been indicted on four felony counts of sexual solicitation.

Here's a 2004 article about Kramer Largent and his friendship with Jim Zorn's daughter Sarah.

And here's another, from June 13th of this year, about how Kramer, an aspiring athletic trainer, is assisting the Hawks training staff at training camp.

According to the article, Kramer is cooperating and will turn himself in. We're sick to our stomachs.

Yeah, it could have been a 15-year-old. It could have been an 8-year-old. Those details weren't released. You won't know until the trial.

Point is, a grand jury in Delaware thought it was bad enough to indict him on four *felony* counts of sexual solicitation. That speaks for itself, I think.

Do you read the articles you link to?

According to the Seattle Times article you cite, Kramer Largent was indicted for something he did a year ago, when he was 19.

The indictment involves one girl, not multiple girls (as your blog entry states).

The law defines underage as under 16.

So, a 19-year-old boy is accused of unwanted advances toward a 15-year-old girl. This could just as easily be a boyfriend-girlfriend situation gone sour (or a false accusation from a family hoping to later pursue a lucrative civil suit against the wealthy Largents) as a "predeliction for underage girls."

I don't know or care about Kramer Largent. I do know, and care about, journalistic standards. Blogging like yours drags down the reputation of all bloggers.
