A Bad Day for Bulls
Seattlest sat jaw agape last night while watching a news story about a bull that got loose from a neighbor's yard (they called it a "pet that got out") and rampaged around a neighborhood in Yelm. The story tagline? Raging Bull. Was there a discussion of how cheeseball that was in the newsroom prior to going live, or did they all just say "Aw hell, screw it--you all know we have to run with this one"?
Aside from the bizarrely deep, gravelly German-accented voice of the grandmother who described being charged by the bull while on her riding lawnmower, who said "Vell there you are, on your lawn mowah, not thinking any bad thoughts und then there's this bull..." our favorite aspect of the story was the wide-eyed young boy who marvelled that it was very, very angry. That bull had its last hurrah in Yelm, and was soon shot by local law enforcement types after it charged them too.
Following that, the news reported a huge herd of bulls being electrocuted in a field of standing water. We can't find any indication of that story online, so we're chalking it up to bull hallucination.
In reaction to this news, a number of bulls elsewhere went on a group rampage, hurting quite a few people.
