By "the goodness of 2nd ave" I of course mean the crocodile, lava lounge, shorty's, rendezvous, viceroy, Roq la Rue and the cool shops that are over there.

the goodness of 2nd ave? other than a few spots, belltown could burn down and i wouldn't care in the least. it's a bunch of shiny-shirters and their mystic-tanned friends.

If the trade-off is HOB for the Showbox...no thanks. A House of Blues venue could be cool, I guess, and I'm sure it'll be incredibly overdone ala the sky church, but I'd rather it not come at the expense of independant venues.

Isn't there a House of Blues being built near the paramount theater? Those franchises normally host music. That should be a silver lining of sorts shouldn't it?
