Q: Who's the New Host for Trivia Night at the Old Pequliar?
A: Seattlest.
Specifically, Seattlests James, Seth, and David. Starting next Tuesday, the 11th, these three Seattlest writers will start rotating through hosting duties. (Other Seattlesters may participate as time goes on, but we can guarantee this triumverate.)
Seattlest James is up first, writing and hosting the July 11 quiz. He promises to make it less impossible than last time, which, while fun, we'll chalk up to a learning experience.
That's this coming Tuesday at the Old Pequliar in Ballard, and pretty much every Tuesday thereafter. The quiz starts at 8:00 and usually ends around 10:00. Get there a little early to sign up.
It's just $5 per team to play, and your team can have up to 5 people. Widmer's matches the entry fees, doubling the pot, and the winning team takes home most of the cash. Second and third place teams also get some money (if enough teams are playing), and the last place team takes home some swag. If you've never been there before, you might also want to know that round 1 is always geography, round 7 is always movies, and rounds 4 and 8 are picture rounds. The rest? Host's choice. Heh heh.
