Forecast For The Weekend Hot And Gay

RainbowFlag.jpg

The first weekend of summer is here and Steve Pool told us last night that we're actually going to have some weather that befits the season. We got us a second opinion today that verifies it! It's pretty nice outside right now at 74°, but tomorrow the high is listed at an incredible 82° and even gets a few degrees warmer for Sunday (and Monday also at 85° if you want to stretch the weekend). Woo hoo! It's not only hot and summer time, it's also Pride Weekend.

Hot sweaty gays streaming through the streets! Times two! We were hoping we'd see a celebration of the state of Washington's gay marriage ruling by this time, but it hasn't happend. Certainly taking their sweet time about it down there in Olympia, eh? Anyway, may this be the last year a person can't marry whoever the hell they want.

Alright, go gay it up this weekend, but make sure you know where you're going. You're obviously aware that there are lots of events at Seattle Center this year as well as the traditional Hill festivities, but we just want to remind you one more time before the sun stroke sets in and zombie you starts dancing its way to Volunteer Park unconciously. Plenty of people have already done the hard work of aggregating all the weekend's events so we're not going to reproduce them for you here. Queen City News's event post is a good guide, and thorough, and it's probably the most link-rich listing you'll find. The Stranger's online guide doesn't look to shabby either and the Post Intelligencer has a wee little thing at the bottom of their version of the Great Parade Forking of 2006. The Seattle Gay News also has something worthwhile, of course. See ya there!
