Guardado on His Demotion As Mariners Closer: Too Soon.

burlap.5lb.jpg
Eddie Guardado didn't cotton to being removed as Mariner closer, the P-I reports today. Apparently he's been sulking, and Jamie Moyer coralled him for a private chat over the weekend. The mano-a-mano preceded a successful inning against Los Angeles. Everyday Eddie thinks it was a turning point.

I was able to put all of that anger and those negative feelings and put them into a bag and lock them away.

Guardado's negative feelings bag will be auctioned after the season, with all proceeds going to the Bobby Ayala Home for Deposed Closers.

The M's, unfortunately, are playing like, ah, like the, uh, the khrum.

Headlines of the past two articles on Mariners.org tell you all you need to know:

M's held in check by Haren
M's unable to solve Blanton

The M's play a day game today against the A's. 12:35 start. Jarrod Washburn faces JJ Redick.
