Food & Wine Crushing on Jason Wilson (of Crush--get it?)

nicole-jason.jpgKudos to our very own Jason Wilson, chef and owner of Crush (pictured with his main squeeze Nicole), for winning one of Food & Wine magazine's ten spots for "Best New Chefs 2006."

In the article in the July issue, Wilson says he "became a chef because I wanted a job where I could eat lobster with gnocchi and have money to buy a new surfboard." Well said. The article notes that he's cooked in San Francisco, Singapore, and Paris, and we feel honored and pretty darn lucky that he's ended up here.

That said, there was a serious oversight in the contest. Food & Wine has obviously never tried Seattlest Seth's spaghetti.

  • And just a word about of reminder about the Top Ten wine lists: Lindsey Norton of 94 Stewart [see previous post right here on Seattlest.com] got herself a spot as well. Cheers!
