Food & Wine Crushing on Jason Wilson (of Crush--get it?)
Kudos to our very own Jason Wilson, chef and owner of Crush (pictured with his main squeeze Nicole), for winning one of Food & Wine magazine's ten spots for "Best New Chefs 2006."
In the article in the July issue, Wilson says he "became a chef because I wanted a job where I could eat lobster with gnocchi and have money to buy a new surfboard." Well said. The article notes that he's cooked in San Francisco, Singapore, and Paris, and we feel honored and pretty darn lucky that he's ended up here.
That said, there was a serious oversight in the contest. Food & Wine has obviously never tried Seattlest Seth's spaghetti.
