Jim McDermott: All Rock, No Talk, and None of the Hard Stuff

radio-broadcast-large.jpgCongressman Jim McDermott will be playing all the hits, sending out your long distance dedications, and generally getting the Led out all week.

Tired of trying to make-out with Osama, Saddam, and the rest of those Al-Qaeda villains, Baghdad Jim will be hosting Dave Ross' weekly KIRO radio show while Ross is on vacation.

One question you may want to ask McDermott, besides what exactly do you do for Seattle, is what should be done if you had purchased tickets to see Bill Clinton speak at the Congressman's legal defense fundraiser on Saturday. Clinton had to postpone his appearance when band equipment was stolen out of his tour bus following a gig at Merchants in Walla Walla.

Ross' radio show airs from 9am-Noon on 710 AM.

In 2004 Ross ran unsuccessfully for a seat in Congress against Dave Reichert. Congressman Reichert is now in another close battle with Darcy Burner, who is down there in the eighth district trying to solve that thing.

Reichert, probably on some sort of dare, is hosting the President in June for a Republican fundraiser. Republican Senate candidate Mike McGavick will be unable to attend because his son is graduating high school in another state.

Ahhhh, that reminds us of a girlfriend we had back in high school. We would have totally let our friends meet her, but she lived in Canada. It's too bad because she was a really hot model.
